About Me
- A game programmer specializing in Unity and always exploring new ideas. -
Self-discovery and determination to learn has led me on a journey that is still being mapped. I made decisions in recent years that led to expected results, but in some cases not so much. I looked at those results as a series of experiments that helped me define my path forward. Some of my decisions led to feelings of failure and despair; however, I do realize that failure is not necessarily a bad thing. Rather, failure is an opportunity to learn from the experience and use the lesson learned to try something different.
Growing up, I was raised in a video game household where you either played a video game or watched one of your cousins compete against each other. I always adored the way that you can enter into a new reality where you control the character's you play and immerse yourself in a new world. However, I first ventured in the avenue of film and learned the ways of storytelling. Showing stories visually was an amazing experience, but it didn't implement one of the missing parts of games that I loved: control. Getting to move your character, change the way they think, and join them on their journey was what made me love games. That is where my journey towards programming and designing games began.
Present Day
As I continue to pursue my Bachelor's in Computer Science at UC Berkeley, I realize that my determination to experiment and a clear understanding that my journey is far from over allows me to succeed. I have strength in my interest of learning many subjects and now know that my goal is clear: entering into the game industry.
